Hit the Road

I know this is a bit early (heh), but there are probably some intervening contests between now and SR-2026. 

So if there would be interest in roving for the hell of it ( rare grid-squares in WA state..., or something else..), read on:

 

What I'd love to do is rove/expedition counties.  And, to sweeten the deal I can offer this:

 

I got access to a super nice custom van that has been refinished from scratch inside like a fine sailboat -- teak paneling/ceiling,  H20 basin,  radiant heat in the floor, 350W solar cells and a state of the art battery/charging system with AC outlets in the unit.  Small portable Honda generator for extended periods of dark/dim light.

 

I took it (pre-remodel) to Visalia 2023 and a few of you have seen it, but not since complete remodel.

 

Lighthouse activations?

Grid-square activations?

General horsing around and road-trip?

Dry/wet run DX'pedition practice?

POTA/NFOTA's/etc.. practice runs for the next SR.

I'd hate to do this alone, so if there is interest, keep this in mind.  You know where to find me.

ps.  A bit of humor during Salmon Run 2025

I was CQ'ing 20m SSB and I got a call from "KD7AKE".  

Says he's in the Yukon Territory, mobile, on his way to/from AK. I had to puzzle this out quickly.   I re-confirmed the call, but I had to ask -- are you really in Canada? (he said Yukon Territory earlier).. "Yup", he said. 

 
I asked him "Let's say I log you VY1/KD7AKE then?"  'Sure, no problem.'   

So, that's one way to get a multiplier, right?
